Socialist Housing | Soviet Housing in Slovakia, 2016
Kosice is a large city in east Slovakia. Dominated by communist-era tower blocks and apartment complexes, it is a relic from the USSR's inlfuence over the country, now sitting incongruously in the modern state of capitalist Slovakia.
This project explores the urban environment of Kosice and how these brutalist, Soviet-era buildings impact the aesthetic of the city.
